Secret Fife 6YO Super Tuscan Red Wine Barrique

This Fife Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of three recently bottled ‘secret releases’. A single cask bottling, this whisky was fully matured for six years in a fresh Bolgheri Super Tuscan red wine barrique and is limited to only 271 bottles. And it’s absolutely stellar!

Peated whisky in a high quality red wine cask is one of our favourite flavour profiles. If you enjoy the same, then this whisky should be right up your alley.

Nose
Peatsmoke, big maltiness, cherry, strawberry, purple wine gums, marmalade, sugar cane, red apples, frangipane and leather.

Palate
Ashy smoke, charred wood, BBQ pineapple, cherry menthol, peppermint, wet slate and plum skins.

Finish
Lingering peat, cherry cola, treacle and an earthiness.
