Nose
The nose of this whisky offers the obvious peatsmoke, married with dried apricot and orange pomander, beeswax, leather, pipe tobacco, cedar, earth/mushroom, walnut, cinnamon and last night’s campfire.
Palate
A dash of orange bitters on the palate, with baked apples, toast and wood spice.
Finish
The finish is long and surprisingly malty, with a charred barbecue meatiness, cocoa nibs and yet more apricot. Yum.
