Cambus 40YO Sherry Butt

A GLASS OF OLD, OLD SHERRY. BUT IN WHISKY FORM.
 
Cambus closed in 1993, at which time this whisky was a youngful nine years old. It has been an honour for us to chaperone the liquid into it's penultimate resting place within our bottles. This whisky has matured for 40 years in a single, old Sherry butt. And boy oh-boy, you can tell. If you lurve your Sherry, then this is a dram for ye!
 
Nose
Raisin, leather, acetate, pear drops, red delicious, apricot, pipe tobacco, honey, very old sherry, liquorice.

Palate
Peach, fig, date, golden syrup, Demerara sugar, sherry, dried apricot, maraschino cherry, cola bottles.

Finish
Baked apple, molasses, dark chocolate, cherry, liquorice
